Computer Vision FPGA Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious engineer to work with Xilinx FPGAs on a diverse range of technologies. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Design for our own bespoke hardware acceleration library ClickCV
  • Work with our bespoke Design Suite to build applications within computer vision
  • Develop using OpenCV and Xilinx’s hardware libraries
  • Work on embedded applications, such as UAVs, robotics, cameras, AR and VR.

We are looking for a candidate who is experienced with FPGA design flow and creating high-performance designs on FPGAs. We consider candidates who have both used RTL (Verilog, VHDL) and High-Level Synthesis (Vivado HLS etc). A candidate should also be comfortable with coding in Python and C/C++ and should also be able to think critically and resolve complex problems independently.

  • To be able to produce and follow design and testing documentation regarding new hardware designs for FPGAs
  • To be able to produce and follow development plans and timelines for hardware design on FPGAs
  • The development and testing of computer vision applications utilising our Design Suite
  • Ability to both work independently and within a team environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or an equivalent field.
  • Experience with Python and C/C++
  • Experience with FPGA development using VHDL, Verilog or SystemVerilog
  • Experience with FPGA design tools, such as Xilinx’s Vivado or Intel’s Quartus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with compiler design
  • Experience with High Level Synthesis tools such as Vivado HLS
  • Experience with computer vision and OpenCV
  • Experience with scripting languages such as TCL
  • Experience with ROS
  • Experience and interest in working with embedded applications, such as UAVs, Robotics, AR and VR
